Informed & Engaged

The Palm Beach County Library System’s mission to, “Connect communities, inspire thought, and enrich lives,” is a continual effort to identify areas in which the library can leverage our resources to better serve the needs and interests of all. One identified opportunity is actively positioning the library as a premier source of civic engagement in Palm Beach County. The library’s commitment to democratic values and providing access to quality information, combined with available safe, public spaces, make this aim a natural aspect of our services. Through informative library activities that focus on government processes and foster public conversation around timely issues, it is our goal to connect all Palm Beach County communities to a path of active citizenry. With this goal in mind, the library proudly presents Informed & Engaged—a new initiative centered on the promotion of civic life.
