50th Anniversary Celebration
In September 1969, the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners approved the operation of free library service in the County. To celebrate the 50th Anniversary the Library is hosting a year-long celebration with the South Florida Fair in January, Black History Month in February, Women’s History Month in March, a community celebration in April, Haitian Heritage Month in May, the Summer Reading Program in June and July, PBCLS ComicCon in August, historical displays and Anniversary Parties at each location in September, Hispanic Heritage Month in September and October, Italian Cultural Heritage Month in October, Families Reading Together in November, Winter Concerts in December as well as themed monthly activities that are relevant to our members and demonstrate how the library connects, inspires and enriches the lives of our community. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
